the germans don“t speak english very well and the enjoy all the chances to practice with a native speaker, so try to take care that you don“t speak english all the time, otherwise you will teach them only and learn nothing. the schools in all the country costs betw. 100-250 euro for two weeks for an intensive course (20 hours/weekly). There“s also the Volkshochschule, a kind of popular university of everything where they have all levels of german as second language and which is really cheap (like 150 euro for 4 months in some cities), but they keep closed from dec-february and juli-october.

the best way for you would be to stay with a german family for one year .If you are staying with a host family ,they will be able to help you on that . But check , they have summer courses on the language , which is called Sommerprogramm fuer Sprachen and it usually is being run at the schools or Universitys.

Have fun !

you can find anything in frankfurt.
Try a traditional german dance class,
The biggest part of the culture though is community based, hang out in local pubs, and go to all the festivals that you can. Soccer is a big part of our culture, so is drinking, but what we enjoy most is hanging out as a community.
There are very interesting german history museums, and historical places all around frankfurt.
Germany is small enough though that you can travel for a weekend and see the blackforest, and even go see some old concentration camps, and all sorts of things.
The castles are awesome to visit, there are hundreds of old roman bath houses and things to go see.
Theres probably a tourist center in the airport or outside of it that you can get some brochures from

HAVE FUN!!!!!
