I know it's no problem with dogs so I'm sure that you also can take your kitties with you!

Your kitties will need a pet passport. They will need to get a chip and all shots up to date. Your vet should be able to help you. In the EU pet passports are issued by the vet, don't know how it is in the USA.

Contact the German embassy in the USA for the exact requirements of bringing cats from the US to Germany.

rdrnnr1972
Make sure that the cats shots are up to date. When you get here, there will be a vet on post, that can give your cats any additional shots required. If the post is too small for a vet, they can send you to a vet off post that knows what is needed.

Mimi
whos taking care when your are not at home? you dont wanna keep them on post i hope!

Orange
If you'll be living in family housing, you can take your kitties. You will not be allowed to have your cats with you in the barracks, though.
What you need to take them with you is a health certificate from your vet. It will say that the shots are up to date and the cats in the condition to make the trip.

If you are Single & living in the Barracks NO NO

If you are going to be in the barracs for ANY length of time, I would advise against it. If you will be living in government housing or "on the economy) wou can take them. However, there is sometimes a long quarantine for the pets entering into Germany
