My cat Jake owns me

I am learning Deutsch now, but am not fluent. Will I still enjoy the Augsburger Puppenkiste?

My husband has never been to Augsberg, but I want to take him and go to the Augsburger Puppenkiste theater.

Will I understand any of what is happening?

Yes, YOU WILL ENJOY IT!!!!
It is so cool. You will understand it and get the story. It is simply wonderful and a must to do while in Augsburg.

Yes, I am pretty sure you will understand something. Maybe it is good for you as a "beginner" in the German language to see shows made for kids...it is easier to understand.
Even if you would not understand every single word you will understand about what the story is about and any of Augsburger Puppenkiste plays is just beautiful to look at!
Have fun!

PS: Also it will help to learn the language quicker if you watch German TV. That's what I did when I moved to the US. I watched TV and learned a lot from it...

You won't get all of it, but understanding is easier than speaking, is it not? Also puppet theatre is usually very visual - there is a lot of story told with motion and the like. I would do it.

Gute Reise!

You certainly will, and your DH will enjoy it.

It's like me being confronted with a Monty Python show, or some real Normandes who speak Normandish... -- I thought my English and French were pretty good, or at least respectable, but that's an experience nobody should miss. You'll understand everything by the show that's being performed, and it'll improve your language skills a hundred percent, at least. Go for it, if you can!
