I am American!!! I speak your language, love your Country and have had two German GF's that I think are more down to earth and realistic than most American woman.. they are not sluts and such over all in Germany so I am sure you mean that he is just a typical male slut. They are in every nation, not just the USA.

You have read plenty of my posts and know I am for real so I hope the American comment was in general about men and not just American.

(Petra) Where as I agree with you on GWB you have to understand MOST of us are not representative of him. I have NEVER had a problem stating I was American there, people view me for who I am not my nation there. Sure I know why and agree why most are upset with him I am as well but to blame all the US is like blaming all Germany. The actions of one man or government does not usually represent the feelings of the people. Basically just saying not fair to genralize us all cause you have talked with me and know I am no lover of GW nor a pig yet I am still American. AND no I did not thumb you down!! LOL.

So be prepared not to have any fans or if you want to avoid trouble claim to be British, Canadian,Australian or Irish ...
These at least in the moment are better liked than Americans.

You aren't even there yet and you already insult the locals!

Who ever told you the story about German girls, never met a real one. The women in the GI bars are professionals, you will have to stay away from both.
You will find REAL German girls in places most unfamiliar to you.
Most German cities have public swimming pools, a perfect place to spritz a little water in someones face...
You need help with translations - anywhere....
Make a male friend first - he will introduce you to his friends...
Then make girl friends - I mean friends!!!!!

Please no crude behavior, yelling, or horse play, that is a guarantied turn-off.
You might have to re-learn how to eat properly, something very important in Germany. It shows your level of sophistication - should you be invited to meet the folks....

You will have an opportunity to travel - take it! Do you ski, snow board, swim etc.?

well im german, was living in the states before also. i have been around the army for a long time now and trust me,
the german girls ARE sluts, not all of them there are still nice ones like me :p and others. but a lot of them army b****** how they are called around here well hello they have slept with a whole unit. i know some of them (im not friends with them tho) because i dont like those kinda people, that will go in bed with everyone because there hoping to get married and get their papers...but ull find out for urself soon!

I live on a military post in Germany. I am married to a soldier. Now I am telling you only what the single soldiers in the barracks tell me. There are plenty of places to party with german girls and lots of them looking to party hard with the GI's. The real problem is getting serious with one and deploying. The ones that end up getting married have a difficult time with the seperation because of the cultural differences if they are younger. BUT there are a lot of marriages that are successful too. I guess it depends on what YOUR INTENTIONS are. There are also brothels and strip joints, especially in Belguim. SO! What are your intentions? German women are very beautiful and if you can find a nice girl you may have a better time traveling and exploring the culture. I reccomend making a nice friend and exploring as often as possible. There are plenty of places to have a good time and build a nice friendship/relationship and good memories. No worries your NCO will give you a real SPECIAL BRIEFING on weekends about this specific issue! Anyway, Goodluck!

most of this people are wrong but some are correct, women in germany are not sluts and will not try to take your man, most women that like to hang out where americans do they do so because they like to have fun, most germans dont party the way americans do, germans are a bit boring, no disrespect, so there, i think that every country in the world has there little group of people that makes the whole country look bad, americans are no exception, believe me the last thing you need to worry about is someone hitting on yo man,
