it'll probably be like a good 11 hours on the plane. and you should expect a language barrier! YAY! But you can just listen to Spring Awakeing while they're there and everything will be okay! |

Tired girls that just got off of a long trip and a differentiation of cultures. It depends on where it is coming from... From Berlin, approx. 18 hours and 30 minutes or so... Without delays. |

A direct flight from Frankfurt Germany to Arizona (if there is one) would be a 10-11 hour flight MAXIMUM. There would usually be a lay-over in Denver or Dallas for a flight to the southwest, so add in another hour or two for that. They'll have been up for 3-5 hours before the flight to be in the airport 2 hours early and dealing with the super friendly airport staff (sarcasm intended in case you didn't catch that).
So, you'll have 2 very tired German girls that will need a shower. I always feel "icky" after such a long flight and want nothing more than to clean up and get a nice meal. The time difference (8 hours) will mess them up for the first 3-7 days so expect their sleep schedules to be pretty odd.

You probably should be expecting them to be kinda confused. New culture and all. Also you might want to have a phrase book or something so that you might be able to understand part of what they're saying and explain things to them, it would make everything a lot easier. It's probably around a 10-11 hour flight, so they're probably going to be tired. One thing you might want to be aware of is that there is a time difference and that that will affect the girls as well. They probably will want to relax before getting started, take a shower, or they might want to get going right away. |
