My cat Jake owns me

I just moved to Lindenberg, in Bavaria-where can I buy sweet potatoes?

I shop at Aldi, Lidl, Kaufmarket, and Netto, and they don´t have sweet potatoes!

Is it just not the season, or do they just never sell this food?

Do they have a toom-markt in your area? They have them here in Hessen. I've seen sweet potatos at toom, and I think I've seen them at Real. I don't really know when the season for potatoes is. Sweet potatoes don't seem to be very popular in Germany. It's hard to find corn on the cob, too, I noticed. Maybe you could check at a health food store, or at the Wochenmarkt (the open-air market they have weekly in a lot of towns/cities).

I have also seen sweet potatoes in Kaufland, if you have one of those near you.

Have you tried a Bioladen? You might have more luck there.

But sweet potatoes aren't a 'common' food here in Germany.

Aldi, Lidl, Kaufmarkt and Netto are discounters that mostly have a different sortiment than normal supermarkets.

Sweet potatoes might be found in Globus or Real, if you have one of them near your place.
Maybe you can find them in a Rewe too, dunno.

im german and i never tasted a sweet potatoe until i was invited to a thanksgiving dinner at some us military friends house. of course, they shop on base... ive never seen sweet potatoes in german stores myself, but you might be lucky. aldi, lidl and netto would never have them. check rewe, real, alnatura (organic food supermarket) and maybe markets. good luck :)

I'm living in a little town in Bavaria too. I remember in Hessen I saw some places, they sold the sweet potatoes.
You need to look near to your hometown some big cities and need to drive there look for some grocery stores. Like REWE, HL, or some special vegetables stores.
