If you would stay a bit outside of town you could save a fair bit of money. THe railways go every 30 min into town.

There is a pension bahnhofstrasse right next to railywaystation for 39 euro, shared bath, inc. breakfast, very nice inside, but gloomy from outside. Much better deal than the more distant hostels charging more, from there visit long term spaces at lower cost in suburbs
