Hi, Munich or München is wonderful city. I really love it.
And there is more to know about Munich than the Oktoberfest.
That is the one all over the world know, but the city itself, the surrounding with the lakes, rivers and the alpes, the different kind of food and people... really nice!
have a look at this pages.
Wikipedia:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munich
official tourist page: http://www.muenchen.de/Tourismus/6942/index.html
good luck.. for questions, just ask:) |

Why München???? Junp into the train and travell around Germany. Don´t forget Germany is not really big! To go from north to south end took you by train about 10 hours NOT MORE.
München is not so interessting and it is not Germany!!!! |

There are al so a lot of old buildings like the opera house ore the town hall.
In munich you can eat a lot of very german things like Sauerkraut ore Leberkäs, Schweinshaxen and Brezel (prezeln)
In Muich is the best soccer stadion of the world. the two clubs Bayern München and 1860 München are playing there.
In the Englischer Garten (English garden) you can watch some surfer who are surfign on a little little river.
Outside of town there are lots of old villages and there are the Alpen where you can go skiing or walking. |

If you're planning a trip to Germany, the best advice I can give is to learn a little bit of basic German before you go. Most Germans speak English but they will be more helpful and friendly if you at least try to speak their language. It's a matter of politeness over arrogance. We should never expect those in another country to speak our language to make things easier on us. |

Munchen is the German way of saying Munich.
It is in the Bavarian region of Germany.. which is in the Southeast region of Germany.. this is the most festive time of the year to go as they celebrate Oktoberfest ! With approximately 11 beer tents that each hole about 10, 000 people EACH. Besides lots of beer, pretzels, sausage, sauerkraut and craftbooths... there are also ALOT of police and ambulences waiting to haul off all the overindulgers. It is quite something to see. You are also not far from Hitler's Eaglesnest... which is interesting. And also not far from Salzburg, Austria...which is a dream come true. Go.. Go.. GO... you will love it ! |
