Asssuming this is Hagen in Ruhrgebiet.
Then the safest bet is the airport in Düsseldorf.
Driving directions are attached below.
Distance is around 40 miles, with estimated 49 minutes of driving time if you go by car.
However, sometime it might be difficult to get good/cheap international flights from your location into Düsseldorf. You may want to consider also Frankfurt airport. Distance is longer to Hagen, but may give you savings in flights offered. |

First, make sure which Hagen you are talking about. The town name "Hagen" is very frequent in Germany. However, you probably mean Hagen in southern Ruhrgebiet.
The closest airport would probably be Dortmund airport. But I think Dortmund has not so many international flights. You should therefore consider Düsseldorf, Köln/Bonn, or even Paderborn/Lippstadt airports as well. |

really big and international airports: Frankfurt (200km away) and Amsterdam (260km away). |

Düsseldorf is the nearest airport, but Frankfurt would be more comfortable and cheaper to fly to! Airport tax in Frankfurt is cheaper than in Düsseldorf and the chance of getting a non-stop flight to Frankfurt is better than getting it to Düsseldorf! |

The nearest one would definitely be Düsseldorf, however, you might want to compare the fares also for Cologne, Hannover or Frankfurt. And decide then which one is best for you. The train connection is pretty good in Germany (if the train drivers aren't on strike that is!!), so it might be a good idea to check all the major airports for the best price. |
