It's a pleasant town in the wealthy south of the country, surrounded by lush, green landscapes. I wouldn't say it's a top destination up there with the best, but as places go, you could do a lot worse.
It's a typically southern German, clean, pretty, even elegant place with nice shops, well-dressed people, no violent crime worth mentioning, and a little bit of everything it takes to make a place nice. |

A friend of mine lives there now and loves it. It's less than an hour's drive to Munich and under 2 hours to Stuttgart, so convenient to bigger cities on that aspect. It's a typical beautiful Bavarian town and not too big, not too small.... |

i am from Germany. and lived ther eofr 15 years..very beautiful in Augsburg. its very green..all Germany is green over there. whole germany is, since it rains so damn much. gosh i hated that so much! it really rains A LOT over there!
if i were u i'd defintately go and visit it eventually. germany is a very beauitiful country. i grew up in Berlin though, yet i have been to Augsburg a fe times. but like i said the climate sucks.
