By the way do you know that birkenstocks in Germany are more used by the green alternative life style people ?
While in the US I could not believe that people where them on the street or into a club !
They are totaly outdated in style in Germany since mid of the 80's and it's so funny to see all people in North America wear them !

Birkenstocks are less expensive in Germany. When you buy them in the U.S., costs are higher because they have to be shipped here, go through customs, and then through distribution channels to the retailer you purchase them from. So, if you spend the money to go to Germany... you will get a better price.
By the way, most Birkenstock retail prices were actually reduced earlier this year by about 10% due to better exchange rates with the Euro and changes in how the product is distributed here in the US.
