In March, I will be travelling to Germany and I was wondering where I could find a European adapter in Canada?

Stores at the airport usually have them.

> Why do you, Ms. Frackled, keep writing "German native"? What is that supposed to mean? Are you the resident authority on all things German? Me thinks not.

Because Ms Frackled is a considerate woman and thinks of readers who stumble in to this tiny little community and might get frightened with all that German talk and the grammar nazis.

That being said, voltage adaptors are available at any radio shack, and even if you forget to buy one, there's "Conrad Electronic" here in Germany who sell a "travel adaptor" for some 20 euros. It holds 16 Amps, that's good enough for a washing machine.

And, no, 240 Volts AC will not kill you. I accidentally touched a wall outlet once. It hurt, and my heart skipped a beat or two, but I survived. Electrocution is quite a hard thing to do.

@ Zoe Dot
You are asking why Miss Frackled keeps writing German native, I tell you why.
That askers know the information is first hand and not faked like some others are. I have just used some of your answers to questions so people will know what I am talking about.

Q: I am visiting Speier, Germany & want to visit Amsterdam. Is there a train that will take me there?
A: Speier has a large neo-nazi contingent. Heard about that on the news when they rallied last year. It might have been Worms?? Not sure. This sort of thing never gets publicity outside of the local German media.

Q: What are the difference between words "Servus" , "Grüß Gott " , or "Grüß Dich" and "Griassdi"? ?
A: They all mean "we're a bunch of idiots".

Q: I am searching for a town in Germany called "Betzemund" or something like that.?
A: Somewhere between Nuernberg and Dachau.

Q: Where are C&A's located in stuttgart, germany?
A: next to "rough diamonds" gentleman's club.

Q: What do you like the most about Germany? If you’re not German please do not answer?
A: i have come to the conclusion that i don't like anything about germany or germans.
Source:
business person, lived 7 years in germany and have done business there for 15 years, athough now i am keeping my business at home in CANADA and giving CANADIANS jobs.

Now some of your questions:

I am 32 years old and my family are pressuring me to join the army. What should I do?
What is "marketing communications"?
If I aced the interview why didn't I get the job?
My career is just not happening...and I feel so bad about it. Been there?
Should we boycott German products?
I don't think the German government has made sufficient amends for the millions and millions of people they murdered during WWII.
Why do I have such a hard time finding friends and connecting with people??

I really would like to answer your last question but my German "politeness" hampers me from doing so.

Edit:
After reading through all questions and answers of "Zoe Dot" I am pretty sure that he/she is a "Dreivierteldepp" and will never ever qualify to become a full one.

It is not only the adapter ( sockets ) you need.Make shure your gizmos can
switch from 110 volts (North Americas ) to 220 volts ( Europe )

passat_hobby
Try Radio Shack !
Or stores at the Airport.
Best regards from Germany !
