It's just a different area. Kinda like the South in the US.

Edit @ Maya...yea, I wasn't meaning Stuttgart was in Bavaria. I just lived there and traveled all over Germany.

Germany consists of different states it is not Germany vs Bavaria but each state has its very own and unique identity.
All together these states form Germany.

EDIT @ Jay Stuttgart is not in Bavaria but in Baden Württemberg

No only a other accent I live in germeny (berlin) and my gandparents live in beveria there are some other vaction times etc but the only main differnce is the accent other wise its just like the rest of germeny also one cant compare germeny and america very well as america is HUGE compared to geremeny texas alone is larger than germeny and thats only one of 50 states.

der PINGU
yes, Bavarians would like to be their own country if it was possible, they are very "special".

Yes, it is. Bavarians are extremely proud of their bavarian heritage and culture, they have the lowest unemployment rate in all of Germany and their way of life greatly differs from that of northern Germany. They are very efficient but at the same time somewhat more relaxed than other germans. Love them or hate them, that's usually how it works in Germany. I'm not a big fan, I just can't stand the way they think everything is like ten thousand times better in bavaria than in northern germany. And I personally don't trust any state where any party can score more than 60% (at least that's over).
