Is Berlin worth using 5 days vacation for?

hey :-) depending on what you like you could spend even 5 weeks in berlin. there's a huge urban and classic culture scene, a lot of museums and really nice areas to explore. going to the eastern part of berlin makes sense because they more or less restored half of the city after the re-union. berlin's outskirts are very nice and worth a visit as well. you should definitively check out berlin's nightlife (i strongly recommend the "Bar am Lützowplatz"). ciao ~philipp

most definetely!

I've been there almost every year since 1993

well to me it would depend if i knew the language. you dont want to go to a country where you dont understand what anybody is saying.

maybe not 5 (in my opinion) unless you are really interested in the history of WW2/the Cold War or the crazy techno nightlife. Berlin is for sure worth visiting, but there are so many other nice places around the Region... I would say 3 days is enough. Just my opinion, again.

If you visit Berlin in the sumer, than take the 5 days and more.
Cause there is so much to see what is absolutly worth it.
If you go now; take a lot of warm stuff with you; it's still freezing cold&
snow.
Berlin has the best public transportaion system in europe;you can even watch tv in every subway, which is pretty cool!!
I absolutly recomend it!! Have fun & a save trip!!

Yes definitely. I lived there for nearly two years and didn't get to see everything. Berlin is awesome (but stay in the East, don't go to the West - Berlin West is cheesy).

Berlin is on of my favorite cities in Europe>
Depending on your age and interests 3 days will do at this time of the year in general, in the summertime there is of course so much more to do ( around the lakes, parks, etc).
But in general it is a really great city with great diversity in every corner!
enjoy your trip!!
ps: be a lil more speciffic next time

Berlin is the coolest city, however, 5 days are a bit much. You can see all the famous attractions, East and West, in about 3 days. Be sure to try some of the green beer if you drink alcohol, it is pretty good.
