Only if you consider the Airline tickets. They´re outrageous at that time of year. Otherwise, it´s always nice ;-) |

I think it is a great time to visit Munich over Christmas and New Years. You can enjoy the christmas markets, the parties and the fire works on New Years eve, and the winter weather. There is also a good chance of having some snow.
But it is true, the prices for plane ticket are higher around this time.
Enjoy your stay!!! |

Is a great time to visit. The Christmas market is great and the air is fresh. If you love skiing that is relative close by as well. |

I guess it doesn't matter where you go at this time of year, plane tickets will always be more expensive....
But Munich is definitely a beautiful place to visit at any time of the year.
It will be very cold, thats for sure. So if you don't like that, maybe you should wait until spring time.
The downtown part is really nice with all the christmas lights up. Also there is a christmas market which is nice and an outdoor ice skating rink.
The nightlife is always jumping, no matter if summer or winter.
If you are into skiing or snowboarding at all, you could hit the slopes in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, which is only about 45 minutes away from Munich. |
