Claire Redfield

Is Dirk Nowitzki famous in Germany?

i mean, is he like a hometown hero in Germany? on a scale of 1-10, 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest, how would you rank him according to fame in 1) people 2)deutsch girls(i mean if a lot of girls go crazy over him) in Germany?

preferably, a person living in Deutschland would answer this.

Wasn't he 'Face' in the A-Team? lol

He's fairly famous. He is one of those guys that if Germans see him on TV they will think about him, maybe. Some will know his name. But he is no Rudi Voller, Jurgen Klinsman, or Michael Schumacher, for sure. I'd say that on a scale from 1 to 10 he is about a 3.

He's not that famous - Basketball isn't that "big" here, and he's far away. People who're into sports know him, of course, and many people might think his face is familiar somehow because they've seen him on the news, but he's not a star.

There may be some girls who "go crazy over him" - those who're basketball fans anyway, but I'm pretty sure that most girls would ask "Ummm... Dirk who?" if asked what they thought of him just by name, without a photo.

I see him on TV doing ads, but over here F1 Formula racing and football (soccer) are king. On a rate of 1-10 he is probably around a 6. People will recognize him, but not go gaga.

Yes he is a popular person. He plays on the German national Basketball team. To be honest,if it wasnt´t for him the rest of the team would never have a chance. About like the Mavericks.

bigmacchrizzle
Well, if you're interested in sports you know him. many people might know his face because he's the face of a tv-commercial.

He's know but baseball isn't a big game over there.
On a scale from 1-10 I would give him an 8 with
baseball and a 2 or 3 in general. He could easily
walk around the streets without anyone noticing.

Girls probably 1

I really don't think most girls go for giants like that. Besides, the soccer players are usually the girls favorites.
