Is Vegetarian food generally available in Germany?
I'm not talking about whole-food, just "non-meat" dishes. I grew up in the UK where veggie options on the menu are now very common. Additional Details Generally in the US "German Food" is all wieners and sauerkraut - Oh, and german chocolate cake, which is a favourite!
In Germany, you'll find every sort of food. Maybe in a very remote place you might have difficulties, but in any town and city you will find plenty of restaurants and the vast majority of them will offer some vegetarian dishes. I think in that matter there will be no big difference to the UK. Of course, traditional German food is not vegetarian, but British isn't either, is it?
