I'm probably the only American that feels like Germany is the better country. Yes they had Hitler, but the USA has Bush and I think that's bad enough. We're on a downward spiral and EVERYONE hates us now. |

I am a German living in the USA and I do not think any country is better than the other.
If I always say if you could combine the best of Germany and the best of the USA together then that would make a perfect country for me! :-) |

From a European view (and clichee maybe), everything seems somehow bigger in the USA. Whatever is done or thought in the US, it's done to the highest level (and sometimes fanatic). Skyscrapers, gigantic show buissness, huge shopping, charismatic mass movements, unimaginably large areas... that's what comes to my mind first when thinking of the USA (okay, and the old cowboy image).
The USA value freedom very high, while in Germany state and social security got a much higher role. If I had to choose, I'd take the second, maybe due to the fact, I'm used to it.
But the most important fact to make one country "better" than another is... well, Germany is my home, and I would not give away the place I was born and raised at for anything else. So of course it is the best for me. Propably you feel the same about your country.
The USA are something, many Germans dream about sometimes (allthough they might disagree with its politics), but would never really leave for.
Greets from a young German, who has no real experience with the land across the ocean and who can only use common pictures in mind to answer. |

Come over here and see for yourself! Haha.
Well, really, it depends where you're from originally. Americans are going to say America is better, Germans are going to say Germany. It's because we like what we're used to!
Europeans are (definitely) WAY different from Americans. Totally different culture. That's why, from an American perspective, some things in the German culture are "worse" (or sometimes "better") than in America and vice versa.
It's a matter of perspective, I guess, is what I'm saying. XD |

You are a little safer to walk the streets in Germany and the people are a little more educated. The United States has the best food in the world and better nature by far. Neither country is actually better. |

They would be my 2 top places to travel to.
I'd love to go to Both.
But i reckon Germany coz it seems..safer..not that America isn't but it'd be more likely to be bombed or have a shooting.
It probley still happens in Germany, but how often do you hear of it? |
