Is it against the law in Germany to question the holocaust?

I heard that people can be sent to jail for disagreeing with the state .

Yes it is.Not too long ago,the Jews through the Israeli government tried to make a law enforceable everywhere in the world against questioning the veracity of the so-called holocaust. It was not discussed at the time if there would be thought police to enforce the law.

It's illegal to deny the holocaust

A man in Germany was sent to jail in 2007 for denying that the holocaust ever happened... he also loved Hitler and praised him.
I don't think you have to worry about being sent to jail though, as the man wrote 14 pieces of written work and internet publications trying to prove the holocaust never happened, you're hardly going to be sent to jail for just saying in the street that you disagree.

I have a lot of family that lives in Germany but I never heard of this law before. But then again it's not something that's discussed that often among German people so it could be true.

no, because any Nazi power has practically diminished in Europe and Asia

That tells me the Germans still havent gotten government right. You should be able to express your views no matter how unpopular. Losing this freedom is one of the legs tyranny stands on.

georgestraitfan
I'm an American, but I don't see why you would go to jail for questioning the worst human genocide ever.

Joe C
I hope so.

There should be laws everywhere against people who stupid beyond belief.

These are the same sorts that say 9/11 was a conspiracy, and they even question the moon landings.

jimboismyhero
i heard that too but im an american so it could be a rumor
