Antisemitism is widespread all over the world and exists in Germany too. An orthodox jew with the respective look may get into troubles especially in East Germany. Or if you are a radical jewish settler who believes all arabs should be killed and if you say so, you may experience some resistance from the locals that may contain some hostility as well. The same may apply if you say it is okay to bomb the densely populated Gaza strip in order to solve Israels security problems.
Anyway, as soon as somebody notices your religion, it will never be as if you were catholic or protestant.

Sure. Unless you say "I'm a Jew, beat me up", it's absoluteley safe. Germans usually don't talk about religion. They love talking politics, however.

If a jews travel in Germany, no one knows that they are jews, So you don`t have to worry about, as long as you behave if you travel in Germany, or should I say also in other country. Kelly, is it safe 4 Germans 2 travel in Israel? Most Germans can`t speak english and they love to travel arond the world but you see they are not afraid if somebody call them Nazi or can`t communicate well in places where they are travelling.

Are you still living in 1940? It is safe for EVERYONE to travel through Germany. As long as you don't go around sniggering about the war, spitting at Germans and being generally rude:)
If you can, try and visit Berlin. There is a huge new synagogue there and a great jewish museum.There is also a holocaust monument and tons of interesting history.

yes....world war 2 is over.....you don't need to worry. germans can be judgemental, but so can americans about mormons. as long as you don't say in english im a jew beat me up your fine.
btw it is a good idea to know some german words because if you try it, they will have more respect for you, for trying then to be ignorant and demand everything in english or another foriegn language.

Yes don't worry. In Germany living so many Jews people, they are having community, museums all that. So I think Germany is safe place, remember they don't do this mistake again.
