Well it is not true - anymore. But it was like this until the reunion.
I was lucky enough to get a visa to visit a pagan fighting festival in the city of Weima in the late 80's. And during my long fight against Igor Vladimir Prokakovief I had to rush to the toilet several times and it was based about 200 yards outside of the gym

I think you are about 70 years to late with that questions.
Of course, in the early years of 20th century, the toilets have been outside (often)
