Is it worth going to Germany for two weeks?

My friend just asked me if i wanted to go to Germany for two weeks with her and her mom. Ive never been overseas and have been wanting to go somewhere pretty bad on the other side of the pond, especially germany, sweden and switzerland. Is it worth going there if we are going for only two weeks and maybe just going to germany? or should i save up to go another time and travel all around europe?

keep in mind the plane ticket is $480 and we have a place to stay, so all i would paying for is food basically.

I bought my parents tickets for around that on North west Airlines. It was $964 for two tickets in May. However the price in June and July doubles (atleast) so you still got a pretty good deal considering you are going during the peak season. I just hope the flight goes well for them. Then again nothing could be worse than a military flight, which is what we took. So they should be good ;o) I hope you both have a wonderful time. We are stationed here and it is just amazing!

Germany is worth the trip for any amount of time, that is an amazing opportunity you have to go for 2 weeks and have a place to stay. It is a wonderful country and culture! Have a great time!
If you don't mind me asking... where did you find a flight for only $480? I'm going in July and everything is around $700 - $800.

I actually just got back from a 2 week trip to germany!

Germany is amazing I grew up there and i miss it sooooo much!! i live in the states now. The shopping is great, there are lots of cute little cafes and restaurants and of course the beer gardens... It's green and pretty and there is sooooooooooooooooooooooo much culture. The museums and parks are amazing. I say go for it and don't forget your camera.
