I live in Germany more than 30 years and I can swear that I eat
Sauerkraut and Bratwurst 3 times a day since birth. Miam.

In Germany bratwurst grows on trees you know...

I lived in Germany for 6 years. There are many good foods to eat over there. Everything from Roasted chicked to broiled fish. I loved the food.

Loads and loads of other stuff.

BTW: Did you know that US-Americans have a higher consumption of Sauerkraut per person per year than Germans? How 'bout that?

Hey, what's wrong with Bratwurst & Sauerkraut? I really love it. Sometimes. If you come to Germany and have never eaten a ThĂĽringer or NĂĽrnberger Bratwurst and some Sauerkraut, you definitely missed something. Not that I'd praise it as a delicacy; far from that. I'd rather recommend a "Rosswurst" (horse sausage, made from horse meat and beef).

I could recommend you a couple more good things, like trout, which is definitely the best fish you can get in Bavaria, or fresh deer from the forests.

If you want to gain weight, Germany is the place to see for you. If there's one thing that it's not, with all its multicultural style: It's not the best place to see for vegetarians. They can have a hard time finding restaurants that serve their needs.

Yes. It's been told that they have beer, too. Seems doubtful to me.

Someone who knows it
Yes, there is more to eat. It's even more and better than food in the States.

I had food served in the States and know what I'm talking about.
I had been there, tried it and forgot it.

They love pizza in Germany. There's a pizzeria on every corner and frozen pizza is a staple in most homes.

It is like Canada and the US in the 80s when pizza was cool and popular. We got into the anti-carb craze though way back and haven't really got pizza fever back.
