That'll do.

I'm pretty sure it would work - you'd just have to figure out which one of your devices needs the 50Watts, and which the 1600W.

But to be honest, if you've got the time, keep looking for something else. The price is very good, but I don't think it's useful to carry that thing in your luggage, since it's weighing almost 6 pounds.

If you can live without your hair-iron (whatever that is), and can borrow a cheap mp3-player from someone which runs on batteries, and pack half a dozen non-rechargable batteries for your camera, you wouldn't have to worry about weight, safety, etc.

BTW, try to find out if the battery type you need is available in Germany, and at what price. My camera batteries were 30% more expensive in Canada than in Germany.

If you are coming to Germany, the transformer you showed will work just fine for the devices you listed. It looks like it has a pretty good price too, though the weight is a bit high, like one other respondent mentioned. It won't hurt your iPod and is made for hair dryers, curling irons, etc... If you can fit it in your suitcase, it should do just what you need.

I am very skeptical. I've lived in Germany for ten years now, and we use various transformers for different sorts of appliances. It depends on the appliance, really. What do you need it for? If you're just visiting and looking for something to run your hairdryer, it'll probably work. (But then, why not just buy a 220 volt hairdryer?) If you're moving to Germany and you need something for your TV or other appliances, I think not.

It looks fine to me. You'll definitely need it for your flat iron and your blow dryer. Check on your battery charger for your camera and see if it's dual voltage. My sister just bought one recently to bring to Germany on a visit and it was dual voltage (it will say 110-240V...if it says 220 or 230 you're still okay). Your iPod is also dual voltage. You'll only need the converter (the big block-looking part that's shown still in the case in the picture) for stuff that's 110V. Anything that's dual voltage, like your iPod, laptop, and possibly your battery charger, you only need to use the plug adapter (the little part sitting out in front of the case in the picture).

There's a decent travel flat iron that, if you're planning to be in Germany for a while or if you're going to travel to Europe often, might be worth the investment. http://www.folica.com/BaByliss_Pro_Na_d4610.html

Conair also makes some dual voltage stuff...check Wal-Mart and Target for a travel flat iron and blow dryer.
