Wax to use for self-appliance is sold at any drugstore ("Drogerie"). They don't have it at supermarkets. You're supposed to do it yourself; but ask at any coiffeur's studio run by women ("Friseursalon"). I think the gals there can help you out and sell you some wax used by the professionals, if not invite you for a treat.
As I'm male, I don't know about the cost, but I think some 30 euros should be alright.
