I live in Hamburg. You could try the Molotow, Logo or maybe Hafenklang Exil (mostly Punk).
They're quiet small, but I like them better than the bigger ones. And maybe its easier to get a gig there.

I don't know the names from the clubs, but the cities like Berlin, Frankfurt/M., Hamburg, Munich will be very interesting places for your rock band.
