It can work if you really want it. I don´t know how old you guys are. You have to make a future plan that works for both of you. Decide where you want to live. Weigh all the pros and cons concerning jobs, family connections etc. And, for as long as you are still living apart, trust is crucial (because it really is not possible to control each other), and communication is crucial. But i know so many american-german couples, which proves that it can be done, right?

My best wishes for you two!!!

I totally agree with Ananko. Trust and communication is very important. And try to live together as soon as possible because it gets harder and more frustrating the longer you are apart.

I am German and my now -husband- is American. We made it work for over a year until I moved to the states. Talk a lot on the phone, email, get skype, video chat...you will survive this if your love is strong! Good luck!

Have faith! In yourself and in him. Talk on the phone or do the e-mail thing its the best way because it allows one another to not be stressed out over certain times to talk.
