A shuttle is a passenger vehicle (bus, coach, train, spaceship) that travels from A to B quickly and usually with no stops on the way - basically express travel.

If your teacher was referring to a particular shuttle and you are in the UK, you will probably travel on the Eurotunnel Shuttle, a train service that goes direct from Folkestone (UK) to Calais (France) via the Channel Tunnel.

Coaches and buses can be transported on the Shuttle, so you may indeed have a full shuttle experience - an A to B England to Germany trip without leaving your coach (don't worry, they have toilets and food services).

Enjoy your trip.

I've been on the Eurotunnel shuttle service - claustrophobic experience. You can see the container walls of the train from the windows of the bus and that's it. Combine that with the knowlegde that you are in a tunnel under the ocean and it is enough to freak even a calm person out.

A shuttle is ANY vehicle that transports you to somewhere and back. It might be an air, sea, or surface shuttle, or anything of them combined. But I'm pretty sure it won't be a space shuttle, but, well: How much do you pay for the ticket? The Europeans need some volunteers to test their new space transportation systems.

You should be suspicious if your flight schedule includes a landing in French Guinea. That's where they launch the European Ariane rockets.

Maybe your going via the moon...
