There's a Best Western near the airport that's got availability -- you don't have many places that still have any rooms left.

Good luck!

If you are 26 or under, you might consider a hostel. They also might be full at this time - I don't know. I love staying in hostels to keep costs down, but I am too old for the ones in Bavaria.

Save your money and go somewhere else, Munich and the Octoberfest are overrated, I've been there and it's not any different from any other fair. Well, you'll see what i mean.

This year will be my 19th visit to the Oktober Fest. Over rated? Maybe? Drunk Italians and Americans? Most certainly. But, look at the size of the beer mug. Ok, before we get into a debate about the Oktober Fest.....
Not sure what you mean by cheap, but one option I have not seen here(and is not well advertized) is the tourist office at the main train station in Munich. You will have to wait a bit in line, so you should get there early. But, on 3 of my 'Last Minute' trips to the Oktober Fest I went there to look for a room. Many bus tour companies book blocks of rooms. When the bus shows up with empty seats, then empty hotel rooms. Even in this day of the internet some hotels are stuck with empty rooms. Since you will be there during the week your chances of getting a room are good. The drawback is that you are going to Munich with out a reservation.
You can try and check out the Forums(in English) in the www.oktoberfest.de website and see what people are posting for rooms and apartments.
Another option is to check out the München Park&Ride info. If you do not mind an hour or more train ride into Munich you can find places to stay, but again I am not sure what your price range is? From my experience all hotels in Bavaria raise their rates during Oktober Fest!
Have a good trip and have fun!

I´m sorry, I don´t, but live about 2 hours away.
Here´s some good advise for you and your friends-dress warmly. It is so dang cold here in Germany, and my cousin thought it was warm.

There is snow on the Alps here in Bavaria...

Well, if you're willing to spend a little time & money on transportation, you might look for a place out toward the suburbs a bit, maybe off one of the S-Bahn lines.

My fave hotel in Munich is the Jedermann (http://www.hotel-jedermann.de), but considering they're only a few blocks from the Wies'n, I would guess they're probably booked.

You might also look at some of the places listed here: http://www.bensbauernhof.com/accommodationsbavaria.html
I've used this site for *a lot* of trip planning, including places to stay, and have always been *very* happy with their recommendations...

Enjoy the 'fest!!!

look into an hour radius of munich with a bahnhof (train station) the price will be alot cheaper look on mapquest.de

Dude, honestly - you will be lucky to find anything. Do you have tickets to one of the tents? You may not even get into one of them. Have fun, its really overrated. Too many drunk Italians and US Americans behaving badly.
