I don't have any personal recommendations but maybe these links will help you finding suitable restaurants:
http://www.selected-restaurants.com
http://www.frankfurt-tourismus.de/cms/tourismussuite/en/home.html

Some general (and also touristic) information about the city you'll find here:
http://www.frankfurt.de (also in english)

Frankfurt has an area called "Sachsenhausen", with nothing but restaurants, bars and great places for live music. You can't do anything wrong there. Keep you wallet in your underwear, there are pickpockets like anywhere else on earth with lots of people around. Everybody speaks English. Try one of the more secluded Applewine Gardens, just ask in the hotel. A great place for a connoisseur is around the medieval market place "Der Roemer". Try a McDonald's and have a Beer. If you have serious money to spend, there are some incredible places, with food, you have never tasted so good, ask a Hotel Concierge. Good luck!

Do you know a little bit of the German language? Then have a look on this:
http://essenundtrinken.journalportal.de/
Or when you arrive in Frankurt buy "Frankfurt geht aus 2007".
You'll find a list of not only German, but good Italian, Thai, American, African, Indian .......... restaurants.
(Excuse my bad English, I'm German, but living in Italy, so I lost my English speaking Italian!)

It's "only" a steak house, but you should try the "Block House" at Wiesenau 1 in Frankfurt :-)
