Germany doesn't have these big chains like over here for sporting goods.
The big department stores often have good sports goods departments. "Kaufhof" even has an own separate sporting goods stores in some bigger citys. They are called Sports Arena.
Sport Scheck is a sports store, mainly in Munich and other big cities. |

In Germany they have: Kaufhof, Karstadt or Hertie, C&A, H&M, Esprit, Peek & Cloppenburg, Real, Nike Stores only in big cities, Gap, Kaufhaus des Westens very famous in Berlin and some more. ***** is not in Germany. |

Intersport and Sportscheck are the two most popular sport store chains in Germany.

There are usually some local stores offering stuff as well, mostly in slightly larger cities. It all depends upon what you want - shoes or clothing and if it is clothing, for which sport. Karstadt and other department stores also stock basic sports equipment, mostly for running, biking, swimming or playing football (ie soccer). |
