German is not a synonym for Nazi.
Nazi is the abbreviation of the German word "Nationalsozialist", a word describing someone who belongs to a national socialist party. There is one such party in Germany (NPD = nationasozialistische Partei Deutschlands) which in most countries of Germany (Germany is a federal republic, ans as such has countries, so-called "Länder") never makes it into parliaments. It is also always on the verge of becoming illegal. The main point against making it illegal is that illegal organisations are harder to control than legal ones.
Note: the NPD is not the same as the NSDAP (nationalsozialistische deutsche Arbeiterpartei), which was Hitlers party.
Note: a nazi is not a synonym for a racist.
If, for instance, a black person from the US intentionally said something racist against a person of another "race", lets say an Asian, than the black person is a racist. Lets say that happens neither in the US, nor anywhere in Asia, but in Italy, than the black person can't be a nazi, because it is not his home country he tries to get the Asian person to leave. He is still a racist, though, because he is looking down at people from another race.
