Hi there! I was wondering if it is possible to rent a car anywhere in Germany at the age of 20. Any help in this matter is appreciated, as I will be going there in January and doing a lot of travelling.
some places do it some dont. if they dont it will be because you have an us licence and are just 20 and the insurance they use they dont cover that. most places rent cars to peolple under 21 too it might be a little more expensive. not sure about how that is with their insurance and your licence.

Driving in Germany is a lot more aggressive than the US. You don't need a car nearly as much as in the US. On the Autobahn you have to give up right of way to faster vehicles closing behind you...
Speed limits are strictly enforced - watch out for 50 kmh signs - that's 31 mph. Do you feel comfortable driving say 90 mph in the rain ?? When the Autobahn is wide open - no traffic backups, accidents, weather, you'll see most drivers doing about 150 klicks, 90 mph. You might find it expensive to rent a car under 25 years old.
