Considering the fact that the Euro is so strong towards the US Dollar, your sister should really think about buying Birkenstocks through the internet. I am from Germany and Birkenstock are cheaper to buy here in the USA than in Germany itself. |

In almost every good shoe store. But she should be aware of the measurents; it's in centimeters, not inch. So she might have a size "38" or "39". It's not a big problem, as she will try them on anyway.
I'm a male with a "44" size, so, rather big feet. Male and female shoe sizes are the same, although shoes are cut a little bit different: Rather slim toe line for females, and rather broad shoes for the males. |

Heidelberg is definitely the right city for that. Practically half of the stores in the city centre are shoe stores.
The main shopping street ("Hauptstrasse") starts at "Bismarckplatz" and runs up towards the Heiliggeist church. The shoe shops can't be missed - the only one a bit hidden is a large one inside the "Darmstädter Hof Centrum" near Bismarckplatz.
She can also try the two "Kaufhof" department stores. |
