How about both ;-) If there are going to be kids there, they will probably prefer brownies. My son's friends are all crazy about my "real American homemade brownies." Lemon bars would be something of a novelty for adults, and I guess for kids, too, if they aren't too tart. My in-laws love my lemon meringue pie, something they don't have here. |

In the meantrime everyone here in Germany knows brownies but they dont have lemon bars yet so I believe it would be good to present something they dont know yet.

Lemon bars sound good with the extreme heat. Brownies might be a bit too heavy :) Plus the paprika chips and cheeses might go better taste-wise with something lemony. |

If they are 'real' German, then they'd definetly prefer brownies. Trust me. They're prety big over here.
If they're 'next geration germans' they won't care. |
