The baby penguin
I don't know where you're going but since you're bringing your children you can go to "Tropical Islands", it's supposed to be really nice there.

E-mail me and tell me which city you are going to as there is too much to list, but a must see is the cathedral in cologne! i was born and brought up there. If you are foreign avoid the very south of Germany. Good Luck!

salzburg and the salt mines, they have one-hundred foot slides that you go down they show you how they get the salt out and you go down like 3hundred feet in the ground........that was pretty cool.......i would go to the dachau concentration camp because when are they going to have a chance to see something like that again, it is really sad but it is really interesting .........make sure you bring lots of money because right now the euro is suckin, its like .62 cents on the dollar, its expensive. cochem is a really nice town on the mosel river, they have really good wine there too, try the ice wine

Christopher Deutschland Bound!
Take them to see the Porta Nigra in Trier Germany. Great ice cream shops and the history is cool.. even for younger kids.

My dear labellem....

Well, finally a Q. who's on the homefront ...Smile !!!
All right...labellem...there are plenty of "worthwhile" sites here in "good-old-Germany"... I assume, you'll be landing at Frankfurt Airport??? The best thing would be, if you could rent a car (directly at the airport there are : AVIS, etc.) - so you can travel where ever you wish.
What I would recommend is : a "cruise" on the river RHEIN...near Frankfurt is MAINZ directly located where the river "MAIN" enters into the RHEIN...From there it should be
possible to go on a ship on the river "upward" towards : KOBLENZ - (get a detailed map of Germany to "find" those cities!) - Along that route are soooooo many beautiful castles..to admire....If I correctly remember, there will be this special attraction in July ...where they dump some type of ..."whatever liquid" into the river & light it up....They call this spectacular event:"The Rhein in flames"....it's awsome to see!!! But...if you take that river-boat-ride....who will drive the car to your "point of arrival"...I'm just thinking??? Hmmm....
Unfortunately, they revoled my licence, otherwise...I'd come to pick you up & meet you at Koblenz....SORRY !!!
At Koblenz via "southwest" goes a river called "The MOSEL", where all that good german wine grows along the riverbed .... This river is famous for all his "loops"- similar to a winding road. The highway goes along the Mosel, which is a terrific site to see. And... if you come all the way (80 miles from Koblenz) to my hometown - TRIER - you will be in Germany's OLDEST city (built 18 B.C.) - and- I will show you all the roman structures in the city. We here at TRIER are only
11Km away from Luxembourg, where you can go sightseeing as well. Luxembourg city is a nice place to see!
Oh well, I could go on for hrs. reporting you about the sites over here, but I don't even know, what you might be interested in??? So...I'll give you the option to contact me via email at: a.granderson@yahoo.de
You can tell me, what you're interested in & I answer you, give you tips, advice, etc. Bavaria is a nice place as well...the ALPS...the mountain-area "down South" has it's charme too.!

Oki-doki...my dear... (let me know what date you'll be here)-until I hear from you ...I remain with lots of greetings from Germany.... - Annette - ****
