Thank you letter?

in germany, is it a custom thing (good thing) to send a thank you letter to the interviewer after an interview?

It's rather a bad thing. Wait for the interviewer to call you.

(I intended to write that patience is considered a German virtue, but, hell: Let me put that in parantheses at least, as it's not always right. Sometimes a call or an email can work wonders; sometimes it's the contrary.)

No you dont do that in Germany. What you can do is, call him after the time is over that he gave himself to consider you for the job, but give him like 2 or 3 days more.

you prefer using a letter instead of phone or meeting him.why keep it so far away?

for me its an offens
