Hallo - Hello (more relaxed)

Guten Tag - Good Day (like hello but a bit more formal
or "Gruess Gott in Southern Germany, God's greeting)

Guten Morgen-Good Morning

Not: Guten Vormittag - I would only say that if I wanted to be "funny", Vormittag is the time before lunch ...10ish

Gute Nacht- Good Night (note die Nacht, f, so it is "gute")

Guten Abend- Good Evening (it is Abend, not "arben" [sic]!)

Hope this is helpful.
