Go to Dresden, the capital of Saxony. So many palaces, museums, churches, nature conservation sites to see.

the black forest is great!
Neuwenschwine (spelling?) Castle is such a sight!
The Church in the Meadow (not sure how it's said in german)- this church is amazing! it has paintings on the ceiling and it trimmed in gold and it is just a magnificent thing to see! a friend tof mine that lives there sent me a book of places before i went to visit her and that church was a must... go and have a blast!

I went on a 11 day trip to Germany in 2004 and we seen a lot of great stuff. Berlin is really fun and there is a lot of history and art and museums, there is also a Hard Rock Cafe there. If you want to see the Reichstag its a long wait to get in with security and such but it was really worth the wait. Koln is also great because of the catherdral, the bones of the 3 magi are there but they really arent the fond of letting people go back and see. If you go along the Rhine there are a lot of castles you can visit and the one we went to was Marksburg and it was really fascinating. Another good small town is Ruhpolding, its in what used to be Bavaria, there is a water park and everything. What we did was stay in Ruhpolding and went on day trips because you are really close to Salzberg (Austria) which is also nice, Munich (with the Glockenspiel), Dachau (a concentration camp), and Neuschwanstein king ludwigs castle (the one that the castle in Disney land is made after) but this is only good if you are in shape... some people had trouble making the 1/2 mile walk up hill to the castle but there is a trolley. If you want to save money book rooms in hostels.
I could go on... but if you want some more info feel free to IM me... i also have lots of pictures ;)
