In 1932 she came to Finland. In 1938 she was bought by John T. Easberger's shipping company and they had her rebuilt at Blohm&Voss, Hamburg, with three steel masts. She was thought to be a training ship for the shipping company, but was sold in 1954 to Delft/Netherlands. In 1965, the ship came to Emden and was used as a restaurant and bar, towed onto a river bank. It was then transferred to Bremerhaven in 1966, where it served for the same purpose. The city of Bremerhaven bought the ship in 1967, which was decisive for their founding of the first German navy museum ("Deutsches Schifffahrtsmuseum" [yes, the three f are correct]).
I translated quite freely, interpreting your typos as what they probably were supposed to mean.
Biggest problem for me was the "she". I know ships and cars are female in English, but in German, they are of neutral gender ("das Schiff", like in "das Boot"). |

Alwin you are only partially right. Ship is neutral, but if you call it by name, then it is female. "Das Schiff" but "die Seute Deern", "die Titanic". Beside the way Seute Deern is nothern german and means "Sweet girl".
To all a HAPPY NEW YEAR from Hamburg, Germany
