US dollars at Frankfurt airport?

Have a flight with connection in Germany (Frankfurt). Should I have some Euros in cash with me to get snacks, food and coffee or US dollars are also accepted everywhere within the Frankfurt airport?
Thanks

Thank you everyone!
That was quick and helpful.

Dollars are accepted at the airport at several, but not all places, however, change will be in Euros and the exchange rate is pretty bad. If you have an atm-card (foreign cards can be used on German atm, Visa too) I recommend getting some Euros out of the machine. The exchange rate still isn't all that great, but a lot better then for example at McDonalds there at the airport.

I would exchange the currency at the airport just to be safe.
not everybody will ecept US Dollars.

well i just came in from the us and had also a connection over frankfurt, i had euros and i dont think you are able to pay with dollars there, but you might be able to exchange them into euros, where do you wanna go to after frankfurt? cause you need some time to get through the customs and the security again, i had a connection flight in germany to düsseldorf and had like 2 hours time and hurried myself a lot through there, okay it was kinda busy there that day but yeah... i just made it to my gate and they started boarding... well i hope that helped you a little...

Bella
In my experience, US currency is accepted at Frankfurt, but your change will be in Euros. If your final destination is not in Europe, I probably wouldn't bother with getting some Euros just for airport use.

Frankfurt is an international Airport, I'm sure they accept
US currency/dollars...but you are going to get the higher
daily exchange rate ,if you buy anything at the Airport.
My suggestion is ,go to you local bank a couple days before
your trip, get $20.00 - 40.00 in Euro and you're fine!

I highly doubt that dollars would be accepted at Frankfurt Int. because it is not a usually accepted currency. the two known currency accepted there are British Stirling, and Euros. So, i suggrst you be safe, and get some Euros.

You will want Euros in Frankfurt. Few places take dollars.

Update - one poster talks about the time necessary to change planes in Frankfurt - that is true.

It is also true that one can use one's credit card to avoid having to have currency.
