Want to sight see in northeast Germany...any suggestions?
I'll be spending the holidays in northern Poland and would like to take two-three days & drive to Germany. We figured we hit up either Berlin or Hamburg...which of the two should we go to?
Any suggestions off the beaten path beyond Berlin and Hamburg are more than welcome.
That depends on what kind of sights you like to see.
Hamburg is on a very large Shipping transportation lane and Berlin is the Capitol.
Both have great things to show and offer. I have been to both and loved them both so I can not tell you one is better than the other, it really depends on what you are looking for in sights. If you love the water than Hamburg is a good place.
Either Way other eastern Cities to consider that have nice areas are Leipzig! Weimar, Erfurt & Jena.
Have fun any way.

Although Hamburg is a very nice City, with a lot to see, I would prefer Berlin. Nearer, Larger, even more to see
