It stands for "Liebe Grüße" - literally "Lovely greetings" but meaning something like "Take care" or "Best regards".

Don't know about the Internet Abbreviation, or if there's another meaning, but I don't want to answer with just that so I will give everyone a little trivia to take home:

You know the Company LG? well their motto is "Life's Good" and people think that is the actual name of the company, but the actual meaning is referring to the two companies that have merged together "Lucky" and "Goldstar"
