browse some German top 100 chart music in torrent, then you know the overall i think. some american bands, some german bands, some other european bands.
pop, rock music is popular for young people. also some german rapping song, love songs
then the traditional music comes from Bavaria,, with the dance called Schuhplatta (if i'm not mispelling).. some kind of party music for dancing.

Not much different than what is heard on the american stations minus some of the german pop/rock/hip hop music. The real difference might only be the language.

What's a hit in USA or Britain is sooner later a hit here in Germany.

It is all 80s music in Germany. Just switch on the radio in Germany and you get:
1. Schlager
2. 80s
3. 80s
4. 80s
5. "Black music" - which is what they call rap.
6. Classical
7. 80s
8. 80s

The most common type of Musin in Germany is rock, and American music of course..

In Doucheland most Germans love Beethoven, Mozart, David Hasselhoff, Rammsteinn and a lot of underground neo-nazi punk bands.
