Since we look MTV, a lot of R&B, Rap and Hip Hop is well known. We do have own German groups also but know most of the titles from the US.
The elder Generation still also listens to Jazz and Blues, some even like music from the 1920ies.
This all beside the music from different countries and, of course the classical stuff. |

Rammstein, Eisbrecher, Megaherz, and a band called Die Toten Hosen (which literally means, "the dead trousers", as far as I can tell! Mind you, German is my second language, and perhaps that phrase is slang - "Ich spreche nur hoch Deutsch!" is a phrase I use a lot in Germany!) |
