Germany like many other European countries love soccer. They're also well known for their beer and events like Oktoberfest.
I don't know of any recent famous people from Germany. Kaiser Willhlem. And Hitler.

I grew up in Metzenhoff,it's near the southern border in the Bavarian district,Germany's most popular event is Oktober fest,if you go there for that then Munich is the place for that party. The most famous people from Germany unfortunately was Hitler. And one of the most popular things in Germany would have to be the castle's.If you are planning a trip there, don't follow the tourist train,go outside the normal trip & visit the little villages, you will find friendleir people & have a better time!
