Other than hanging out in the beergardens, try some of the museums (are you a car guy? Mercedes has a reasonably cool one; forget about the Porsche Museum in Zuffenhausen, it's a shed). If you have a car, there are some great places around Stuttgart to go. The landscape is amazing anyway, what with all the vinyards and hills and stuff, but you are only about 90 minutes away from Alsace, France (try Wissembourg - beautiful place!), or Strasbourg, France, or Freiburg, Germany, or Lake Constance. If you're not driving and want to stay in town, the ntional gallery is pretty amazing if you're into art, and the nightlife is pretty good. I'm not sure if it's open in summer, but the Leuze Spa bath is pleasant. Hope that helped a bit. |

definately go to the mineal baths. they are so relaxing. but just so you know, if you want to go into the saunas in stuttgart, you must be naked and have a towel. another fun thing to do is to take the s-bahn a bit outside of the city to this lookout tower kind of thing. you can go up in it and see the whole city. and i dont know if you are into shopping or not but there are quiet a few great places to shop. i would also recommend the mercedes museum a bit outside of the city and i am not sure when you are going but there is a really nice soccer stadium near the mercedes museum |
