Berlin is very nice. There are a lot of historical things to see, and you can see all of the great monuments.

Munich and the surrounding area is amazing. Keep in mind it is about 350 miles from Berlin, so it will take a little time to travel between the two.

Munich and the rest of Bavaria are much more stereotypical Germany than Berlin. You must go to at least one beer garden while you are there. If you're looking for a nice picnic, the Englischer Garden is beautiful.

Neuschwanstein Castle is about a two hour train ride outside of Munich. It is a must see. You can by a Bavaria Express ticket at the Hauptbanhoff that will take up to five people on any train throughout Bavaria for a whole day for about 27 euros. It is well worth it. There is a short connecting bus ride to the town where the castle is.

Dachau Concentration Camp is about 12-15 miles outside of Munich. It certainly isn't as bright, but it is worth visiting. You can reach the town via the S-Bahn and then take a short bus ride.

Visit Beer capital Munich with hundreds of open beer gardens. Visit churches and castles. There is a lot of art in those castles and churches like paintings from Michael Angelo on the Churches' ceilings. Go on a river raft on the "Isar". There is tons to do. Buy yourself some leather hosen from fine deer leather. Munich is a big city with a small town character. Hofbrau Haus and other good Bavarian Restaurants to visit. Very cozy and country atmosphere. Visit night clubs, they are a lot of fun and safe.

visit the Rhine Area from the south to the north. There you can see a lot of germany - the old and the new one. Forest, vineyards, small and big cities, A lot of old castles and it's always possible to make a short trip to France, Luxemburg, Belgium or Netherland. (nearly 1 hour from there).

Go To Hanau the birhtplace of the brothers Grimm. Frankfurt has a lot to offer as well. Darmstadt has castle Frankenstein, supposedly the castle of the real Dr. there are lots of places to visit in this area and these cities are about 30 minutes to an hour apart at the most
