Berlin is definitely a sight to be seen. Heidelberg too, it has an AMAZING fussgangerzone (pedestrian mall) and beautiful bridges over the river. I also highly suggest getting down south in Bayern (Bavaria) and seeing München (Munich). Munich is where Oktoberfest originated.
Also, while in Deutschland (Germany) see as many breweries as possible. The tours are usually free, and at the end they give you free samples of the beer they brew there. It's a really good way to find out which kind of beer is really for you.
Also, the churches and castles all over the country are truly unique and beautiful creations. If you're walking past a church, even if you're not religious or it's not YOUR religion, stop in anyway. There's soooo much history. The castles and the churches are centuries old. It's truly amazing.
Enjoy your trip, i hope this helped.
PS Invest in a metro pass. If you're going to be in Germany for any amount of time, you can get a Metro pass that will allow you to ride all buses and metro rails. They have monthly passes that are well worth the Euro. |

Depends on what you like. If you like clubs and big cities I would recommend Berlin or Hamburg. Cologne is also worth visiting. If you are interested in history go to Trier, where there are all the historical Roman sites. |

In this castles area you will see why frankenstein tried to
live forever. A very old place, most of the Rhine river is a
treat to see, swim and visit. Here are some of my favorites,
I like the goat farms, sports centres, and craft shoppes.

Berlin is both historic and modern, combining poignant views of history through its buildings and museums with a modern outlook shown by its culture, galleries, restaurants, and nightlife. Berlin is the best place to examine the promise and complexity of modern Germany. |
