the Cathedral (Kölner Dom), is a must see. Also, I would suggest Alter Markt (Old Market) and a walk through through St. Martin's Quarter, although the shops and cafes are very expensive in that part of town. |

I agree with Homer. If you're old enough to drink (it's 16 in Germany for beer, and 18 for stronger stuff, not 21 like in the US), you should see a club and sincerely, really sincerely get deliberately drunk on Kölsch, which they serve in 0.2 liter glasses. I'm Bavarian (beer is served here in 0.5 liter glasses), and I can easily drink 0.2 liters of whiskey without... well, say: I wouldn't touch a steering wheel then and rather call me a taxi. But they're abundant in Cologne.
The problem is, it's winter time, and it's freezing cold all around Germany. So maybe you ask someone if there's a club that plays your kind of music and go there. Germany in summer is fun, but in winter, it can be quite boring if you don't know about places to go; but the locals will ALWAYS advise you if you ask. |

Depends. Are you old enough to drink? |

Definitely see the Koelner Dom (cathedral) and also go and see the Schokoladenmuseum (Chocolate Museum)
but also don't forget to drive to DUESSELDORF!!! It's very close. |
